BSH entleiht mobile Ausstellung über Nisthilfen an Bildungseinrichtungen.

Wardenburg. Die BSH verleiht interessierten Bildungseinrichtungen gegen eine geringe Gebühr eine mobile Ausstellung über die verschiedenen Möglichkeiten, einheimischen Vogel- und Insektenarten Lebensraum zu bieten. Die individuell aus Tischlerhand gefertigte Holzwand gibt einen Überblick über die wichtigsten Nisthilfe- Modelle für Vögel, Fledermäuse und Insekten. Die Auswahl reicht dabei vom klassischen Vogelhaus bis zum Insektenhotel. Die artgerecht gestalteten Modelle entsprechen den unterschiedlichen Ansprüche der heimischen Vögel an ihre Brutstätten. Die Ausstellung gibt Anregungen, wie mit einfachen Mitteln am Haus und im Garten Brutgelegenheiten für kleine und große Vogelarten, aber auch Fledermäuse und "nützliche" Insekten geschaffen werden können. Ergänzt werden kann die Ausstellung durch Informationsmaterialen, welche die BSH in ihrem Umweltladen anbietet. Dort können auch Bauanleitungen, Literatur zur heimischen Fauna sowie fertige Nistkästen in vielfältigen Varianten erworben werden.

Weitere Umweltbildungsangebote wie eine „Duftorgel“, ein „Fühlbaum“ und „Trittkästen“ ermöglichen das Wahrnehmen verschiedener Naturmaterialien mit allen Sinnen. Sie stehen bei der BSH zum Verleih bereit. Zudem kann eine eine kleine Ausstellungswand des Umweltministeriums Hannover zum Thema „Natürlich Kompost“ ausgeliehen werden. Sie veranschaulicht die biologischen Prozesse beim Kompostieren und die ökologische Notwendigkeit des Kompostes.

The BSH Library and Bookstore

The BSH library and bookshop has over 13,000 publications on various topics dealing with nature. For example, the topics range from environmental protection, garden arrangements and landscaping, and healthy nutrition. Some of the most informative books cover environmental areas that discuss pollution and erosion, and are in high demand by teachers. Publications

Four times a year the BSH newspaper has an issue featuring wildlife art and discussions on various biological topics. Popular areas are alternative energy and recycling, ecological protection, and environmental problems caused by humans. The paper is also for interested amateur scientists and offers subscriptions that are available to science classes and courses. The most exciting aspects are the extensive publications offered throughout the year, dealing with scientific discoveries, special wildlife areas, and biological discussions on ecological preservation.
