Auszubildende der Wilhelma unterstützen BSH- Projekt

Stuttgart - Wardenburg. Eine auch historische Hochburg des Natur- und Artenschutzes ist Baden-Württemberg. Wesentliche Anstöße dazu gingen und gehen von hier aus durch Deutschland. Genannt seien nur die Gründung des Deutschen Bundes für Vogelschutz. Auch der Zoologisch - Botanische Garten Wilhelma in Stuttgart (Neckartalstraße) zeigt Themen, die weit über die Zurschaustellung zahlreicher interessanter Arten hinausgehen (www.wilhelma.de <http://www.wilhelma.de>) .

Da diese vorbildliche Arbeit auch im Norden bekannt ist, hat die BSH auf Anfrage nach Informationsmaterialien für den Wilhelma-Tag am 18.09.2011, eine Art Tag der offenen Tür, bei dem die Auszubildenden der Wilhelma tatkräftig mit einem eigenen Stand mithelfen, ohne Zögern die gewünschten Merkblätter nach Stuttgart gesandt. Die Reaktion der Besucher war außerordentlich positiv. Es wurden der BSH 842,72 EUR überwiesen. Der BSH-Vorsitzende, Professor Dr. Remmer Akkermann, dankte dem Initiator, Aron Schad und seinen Kollegen, für dieses großartige Spendenergebnis. Der Betrag wird in voller Höhe eingesetzt für die Wiedervernässung eines Wiesenvogel-Gebietes im Niederungsbereich der Hunte oberhalb der Stadt Oldenburg (Oldb), das ein wichtiger Trittstein im Naturverbundsystems Hunte-Jade als Bindeglied zwischen dem Nordrand der Mittelgebirge, des Dümmer-Sees und der Nordsee darstellt. Das entsprechende Rahmenkonzept hat die BSH bereits im Jahre 1984 aufgelegt (eine Karte und Kurzbeschreibung ist zu finden unter: www.bsh-natur.de / Service / Herunterladen / Merkblatt 19).

The BSH Library and Bookstore

The BSH library and bookshop has over 13,000 publications on various topics dealing with nature. For example, the topics range from environmental protection, garden arrangements and landscaping, and healthy nutrition. Some of the most informative books cover environmental areas that discuss pollution and erosion, and are in high demand by teachers. Publications

Four times a year the BSH newspaper has an issue featuring wildlife art and discussions on various biological topics. Popular areas are alternative energy and recycling, ecological protection, and environmental problems caused by humans. The paper is also for interested amateur scientists and offers subscriptions that are available to science classes and courses. The most exciting aspects are the extensive publications offered throughout the year, dealing with scientific discoveries, special wildlife areas, and biological discussions on ecological preservation.
